About ClassBook.com

Our Location

ClassBook.com is located in Castleton, New York, just outside the state’s Capitol of Albany. Our strategic location allows us access to major Northeast markets like Boston and New York City, though we work with schools across the country.

Our History

We began in 1992 as a textbook retailer, and became one of the first online book vendors in 1997. Two years later, ClassBook.com revolutionized the educational book distribution business by providing an ecommerce solution, which streamlined the buying process for families and allowed ClassBook.com to provide unprecedented options in book adoption. This was an early step in implementing money saving strategies and customizable options. Through direct feedback from schools, ClassBook.com honed, refined, and added customer-requested features to our core service offering. Today, ClassBook.com is a leader in the industry, creating a flexible, comprehensive solution for primary and secondary private schools.

Several factors make us different from our competitors.

ClassBook.com has created a generous benefits system (known as our Shared Success Program) that provides schools with complimentary materials, services and revenue sharing.

  • ClassBook.com also creates a customizable, personalized Online Bookstore Solution for each school, a service that our competitors simply cannot match.
  • We have a large inventory of books and personally maintain relationships with thousands of publishers. Because of this, you never need to worry about the supply of a certain book. You can be assured that all of your needs will be met through your partnership with ClassBook.com.
  • We are the only Online Bookstore Solution that researches every book in your school’s booklist for quality and availability prior to allowing purchase by your students.

ClassBook.com repeats this process several times throughout the school year to ensure that your school’s booklist and requests can always be met. If a problem arises, ClassBook.com will instantly notify you and provide you with several solutions.

We cherish our relationship with each school, and

never initiate a practice that would jeopardize their confidence in ClassBook.com. This means that we keep your information confidential and eliminate communication problems and operational hurdles with third parties. Your account manager is the only person you ever have to contact about your custom solution. We consider ClassBook.com an extension of your school, working stringently to meet all of your requests and create programs to help you meet your book-buying objectives; however, we work as an independent unit that runs your online bookstore, handles any issues that may arise, and strategizes to ensure your school receives the best services possible.

Our years of experience

and our status as a recognized innovator in the market have allowed our company to evolve and consistently provide our schools with the best solution for their individual needs. We have met each request provided, and take pride in finding new solutions and adding value to your account. We have full confidence in our product and know that your school will find the services of ClassBook.com far superior to any other. We’d love to meet with representatives from your school to discuss the possibility of forming a lasting relationship and show you how ClassBook.com can improve your book buying process efficiently.
